Ingeborg Reichle

Group Leader

Ingeborg Reichle, PhD, is a Full Professor (with tenure) in the Computational Media and Arts Thrust (CMA), Information Hub at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) (HKUST(GZ)). She earned her PhD from the Humboldt University Berlin, Germany, in 2004. She leads the Creative Future Lab for Art & Technology Research Group, exploring how creative practice and emerging technologies influence and shape each other.

She is the author and co-editor of several books including Art in the Age of Technoscience: Genetic Engineering, Robotics, and Artificial Life in Contemporary Art, Springer: Vienna 2009; Plastic Ocean: Art and Science Responses to Marine Pollution, De Gruyter: Berlin, Boston 2021, and has published over 100 articles in internationally respected journals and contributed many book chapters with publishers such as MIT Press, Springer, and Brill.
